Reports to: Consents Business Manager

Location: Coleshill B46

Two Consents Administrator & Data Analyst vacancies to join the works being delivered through the Environmental Consents Team.  To support the process of obtaining Consents, maintaining accurate records, from each environmental consent granting body associated with the delivery of the N1/N2 sections of HS2, collation of data to facilitate accurate and timely reporting.

Potential candidates will need to have a good working knowledge of MS Office, excellent communication skills and a keen attention to detail and quality when manipulating data and statistics.

Internal Interfaces: Consents Manager, Environmental Consents Manager, Consents Assurance Manager (planning), Design Manager, Interface Manager, Environment Manager, Construction teams Design Joint Venture, consultant support teams

External Interfaces: HS2 Team, Local Authorities, Environment Agency, Natural England, English Heritage, relevant stakeholders with a Consent or U&A involvement with HS2 as directed.

·       Assist in producing periodic quantitative and descriptive department reports

·       Assist production of the weekly Consents and Undertakings & Assurances Output Report

·       Support development, implementation and maintenance of a new Consents Database

·       Monitoring compliance of Delivery teams in verifying conditions are being complied with

·       Support the process of obtaining Consents from Consent Granting Bodies (CGB)

·       Liaison with clients (Local Authorities, Environment Agency, Canals & Rivers Trust and other CGBs) as necessary to deliver Consents as required by the construction programme

·       Provide feedback as required to delivery teams regarding the consenting process

·       Record communications with third parties as evidence to support consent process

·       Provide general administrative support for the Environmental Core Consents team

·       Contribute to the development of knowledge within Construction teams and in the monitoring process to assist in ensuring consent compliance.

  • Experience of managing and compiling complex data.

  • Experience in managing the Consents process on a major development scheme and/or major infrastructure project
  • Developed communication, effectively at all levels
  • Production of accurate and concise presentations.
  • Keen attention to detail and quality when manipulating data and statistics.
  • Ability to co-ordinate and prioritise a number of tasks whilst dealing with day-to-day work requests.
  • High levels of service delivery, strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Production and delivery of accurate and concise presentations.
  • Awareness and understanding of current Environmental legislation
