Job Title: Executive Assistant to the Head of Global Philanthropy (temp)

Summary: We are looking for a pro-active and professional EA to provide exceptional administrative and stakeholder management support to the Head of Global Philanthropy. Key working relationships (internal): Philanthropy and Communications Group (UK and US), Programme Group, Chief Executive office, Strategy Group

Key working relationships (external): Key contacts with HALO Trustees and senior volunteers and UHNWI

Responsible to: Head of Global Philanthropy

Responsible for: N/A

Location: Hybrid working – Can be home based, but with travel to our Wilton, Salisbury office at least once a month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of papers and information in advance of meetings
  • Assist with proposals, presentations and reports for supporters
  • Assist with organisation of HNW events
  • Compose and prepare correspondence, including proactively drafting replies to internal and external emails
  • Communicate directly and on behalf of the Global Head of Philanthropy, with key stakeholders
  • Pro-actively manage donor records and correspondence in Salesforce
  • Provide flexible support to priority areas of work across the philanthropy team Essential Qualities
  • Solid EA/PA experience
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritise multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint skills and experience of working with Salesforce
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships with staff and colleagues in different cultural environments
  • Tenacious, self-starting, and able to thrive in a fluid, entrepreneurial context
  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response
  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions

Desirable Qualities

  • Experience and/or interest in high value fundraising in the following areas is desirable: humanitarian and international development, the environment / conservation.
  • Experience working with UHNWI
