Marketing and Social Media Manager

Location – Remote working

Salary- £14-15 per hour

Hours – 2-3 days a week

The Graham Layton Trust (GLT) is the UK fundraising arm of Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Trust (LRBT), the largest non-governmental organisation providing free eye care for the poor in Pakistan. GLT was set up in 1984 to raise awareness and grow financial support for LRBT so that it can continue to treat curable blindness and visual impairment.

Alleviating the suffering caused by vision-related disability gives individuals the chance to realise their full potential, helping them to stay engaged with their families and communities and become productive members of society.

They transform the lives of the poorest and most marginalised people, restoring dignity, independence and hope.

GLT and LRBT work closely together to ensure fundraising efforts are linked to the needs of the hospitals and patients in Pakistan and ensure high-quality compassionate care, robust monitoring and evaluation and rigorous financial management.

Duties

 

  • Work with CEO to develop strategies and campaigns to ensure we run engaging, fully integrated campaigns for the organisation

  • Liaise with CRM manager for donor intelligence from CRM to facilitate effective targeting and engagement.

 

  • Develop and maintain the existing media channels and with the proven ability to develop new opportunities


  • Manage our digital campaigns from PPC, paid socials, emails, WhatsApp, and influencer campaigns

 

  • Manage our website, update content, SEO

 

  • Design for online and in-print

 

  • Manage mailshot design using Blackbaud’s mail software

 

  • Design and develop social media templates for effective brand development and engagement

 

  • Advise on design trends, industry insights

 

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge

 

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills both internally and externally.

  • Attention to detail and an ability to think critically.

  • Uses initiative to think out of the box

  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to deliver results within deadlines

  • A high degree of self-motivation and ambition.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience developing marketing plans and campaigns
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity
  • Experience with creative tools such as Adobe and Hootsweet

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Understanding of social analytics
