Part Time 10 to 15 hours a week

The Royal Artillery Centre for Personal Development (RACPD) and its subsidiary, Sheldrake Training, are a forward-thinking, high-quality training companies, which boast a friendly flexible working environment.

 

We are looking for an experienced teacher to be our Teacher Education (TE) Programme Manager.

 The job role will be responsible for enhancing our teacher education (Teaching Assistant) apprenticeship and courses and further developing our adult vocational teaching programme.  The successful candidate will be expected to increase our footprint, manage high quality delivery and all while actively contributing to a great team culture.

 

You will be required to:

Manage and oversee delivery, assessment, evaluation and quality assurance of the L3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Programme, L2 and L3 Supporting Teaching and Learning courses and the Education and Training qualifications (levels 3 & 4).
Teach as required on above courses and coach and manage own caseload of apprentices.
Work closely with a small team, overseeing timely advertising and enrolment processes, ensuring AO criteria and IfATE guidelines are met and that internal systems are maintained.
Support quality assurance processes and policies, undertaking observations of practice within TE and wider teams (depending on experience).
Provide support and assistance to learners as they go through their Functional Skills.


You will need:

Teaching qualifications and experience are essential. Preferably within the primary and/or secondary sector.
Experience of teaching adults (possibly in FE, but not essential) is desirable.
Excellent communication, ICT and administrative skills are essential.
A positive can-do attitude is a must, with the ability to influence and develop effective working relationshipswithin the team and externally.
A valid driving licence.
