Account Manager – Defence and Security sector
Location: Hybrid, with weekly travel to Porton Science Park (SP4 0DQ) and client sites as required
Salary: Up to £45,000 p/a

Are you ready to take on a dynamic role in managing communications and marketing strategies for high-stakes defence and security clients? As an account manager, you’ll be the linchpin between our clients and teams, driving impactful campaigns and solutions for complex technical projects.
About you
You’re a proactive, autonomous professional who excels at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. You’ll bring a strategic approach, a ‘can-do’ mindset, and strong organisational skills. Your experience managing client expectations, tracking project milestones, and aligning communications to strategic goals will be essential. Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage tailored communications strategies across a varied client base
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, from creatives to technologists, ensuring top-quality client delivery
- Stay current on emerging technologies, geopolitical developments, and military affairs to provide valuable industry insights
- Adapt to evolving briefs and work autonomously to meet high standards
- Manage projects from website development, social media campaigns, 3D animation, video creation, wider marketing, PR and CRM tools to maximise reach and engagement Qualifications and requirements
- Experience managing communications for diverse clients, ideally in defence or security sectors
- Strong knowledge of the defence and security landscape
- High proficiency with PR, social media, marketing, and CRM platforms
- CIPR qualification or willingness to complete it
- UK MOD security clearance (or eligibility to apply)
- Ideally a degree and/or competence in STEM subjects
